Dry eye is a condition where a person doesn’t have enough quality tears to lubricate and nourish their eye. Tears maintain the health of the front surface of the eye, helping keep vision clear. Without enough tears, your eye can become irritated, resulting in blurred vision, stinging, difficulty wearing contact lenses, burning, tired eyes, scratchiness, tearing and light sensitivity.

Dry eye disease is a common and often chronic problem which may affect you during your life, so we are here to help!

Diagnosis

If you believe you may have dry eye disease, it can be diagnosed through a comprehensive eye exam from one of our highly trained doctors.

Our TearLab system helps us determine the exact concentration of tears your eyes each provide. We take a sample of your tears from each eye and measure how salty your tears are. The higher the concentration of salt, the more damage can occur to your eyes through dry eye.

The amount of tears collected is no larger than the period at the end of this sentence.
