Meet Optometry Student, Ania (Anna) Holodniak

Anna is excited to meet you at your next visit! She decided to pursue optometry at a very young age after seeing her mother's binocular vision problem get relieved with glasses. Later Anna worked as an optometry assistant and fell in love with helping patients, from that point she was sure this was the right path for her to achieve a meaningful and fulfilling career. Currently, she is a student of the Interamerican University of Puetro Rico School of Optometry but it is Winnipeg, Canada that she calls home. During her free time she enjoys traveling, learning new languages, and volunteering at FIFA/UEFA Soccer Tournaments.

There’s no doubt about it, dryness and winter go together almost as well as a hat and gloves. Our skin is a little more dry, our hair is a little duller, and our eyes just feel more irritable. Eyes tend to get the brunt of the harsh weather; we bundle up our hands, feet, heads, and bodies with winter gear, but we don’t usually think about eye protection in the winter.
