Dr. Nicholas Colatrella, OD, FAAO

As the owner and Medical Director of PineCone Vision Center, Dr. Nicholas Colatrella is committed to bringing you and your family the continued level of excellence you have come to expect from the products and services that he and his staff provide to you at PineCone Vision Center.

As an honors graduate from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Dr. Colatrella’s hospital residency in ocular disease led him to further contribute to his areas of expertise, presenting to professionals and peers as a nationally recognized lecturer and published author on the topics of LASIK surgery, cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye and corneal diseases.

Dr. Colatrella has been granted numerous awards for his contributions to the field of optometry-- most recently being recognized as the “Young Optometrist of the Year--2006” for the second time, since 2003, and was elected as one of the “Best and Brightest Forty under 40” in the eye care field, by Monday Vision magazine in January of 2004.

Dr. Colatrella encourages you to discuss your eye care questions with him, knowing that he’ll give you informed, caring answers to help you address your individual vision care concerns.

When he is not in the clinic, Dr. Colatrella enjoys running, biking, doing home improvement projects and staying active with his two kids.

Dr. Stacy Hinkemeyer, OD, FAAO


"Our Philosophy is unique in that when we finish an eye exam, we want you to know as much about your eyes as we do."

As the Clinical Director of PineCone Vision Center, Dr. Hinkemeyer is committed to bringing you and your family an excellent clinical experience with the staff and professionals at PineCone Vision Center.

Dr. Hinkemeyer graduated with honors as a Doctor of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry, completing her hospital-based residency program at the Youngstown and Canton Veterans Clinics—both of which prepared her well for her current role as an eye care consultant with St. Cloud Veteran’s Administration Medical Center.

As a published contributor and lecturer on the subjects of neuro-eye disease, children’s vision, retinal diseases and dry eye syndrome, Dr Hinkemeyer is well-prepared to address the eye care needs of children and adults alike—providing you with well-reasoned answers to complex eye care questions affecting you, your family or your kids.

Originally from this area, Dr. Hinkemeyer is pleased to be returning to her hometown to work with so many people from the community.

When she is not working at PineCone Vision Center, you can find Dr. Hinkemeyer gardening, scrapbooking, cooking, hiking and staying fit with her two kids.

Dr. Jeffrey Oakland, OD


"...A lot of children may be 20/20 looking in the distance and up close, but the efficiency of their eyes working together isn't there."

PineCone Vision Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Jeffrey Oakland to our practice and our community.  Dr. Oakland is a board certified, residency trained optometrist that joined PineCone Vision Center in March of 2009. Dr. Oakland received his Bachelor’s degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD and his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. He then continued his education with a residency in Pediatric/Binocular Vision where he gained additional training in the treatment and management of strabismus, amblyopia, and visual perceptual disorders. His specific area of interest includes working with children with learning related vision problems and helping them advance through a targeted vision therapy program.  He also enjoys helping those with special needs.

Dr. Oakland is a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association as well as the American Academy of Optometry. He is an active member with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and has been a case presenter at the Michigan Vision Therapy Study Group. He has also participated in the Semi-Annual Low Vision Program at the Illinois School of the Visually Impaired and is an InfantSee Provider. He has spent time working with vision therapy programs along with patients to help evaluate and treat children with visual deficiencies.

Dr. Oakland has worked extensively within the community including lecturing and volunteering at many events to help increase awareness for visual health. He has participated in screenings at the Illinois Special Olympics, the Chicago Lions Club Gift of Sight screenings, and many back to school health fairs.

Dr. Oakland enjoys running, hiking, pursuing his musical interests and spending time with family and friends. He takes pride in patient and parent education and encourages you to ask about your eye care concerns.

Dr. Larry Womack, MD


PineCone Vision Center has teamed-up with one of this area's most highly-regarded and experienced corrective surgery Ophthalmologists, Dr. Larry Womack, MD, who has been annually recognized as one of the Top Five LaserVision surgeons in the U.S..

Dr. Womack completed his post-graduate training in opthamology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and has extensive experience performing corrective surgeries using a wide-variety of refractive procedures, including: RK, ALK, INTACS, PRK and Wavefront LASIK.

He has completed over 20,000 LASIK procedures and continues to deliver the best possible LASIK corrective surgery outcomes possible to his patients here, and in the TLC Laser Eye Center clinics, where he serves as Medical Director in Fargo, North Dakota.

Dr. Womack is board certified by the American Board of Opthamology, certified in LASIK by the the American College of Eye Surgeons, and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery as well as a member of the International Society of Refractive Surgery of the American Academy of Opthamology.
 
Dr. Womack enjoys his family, traveling, spending time on the lake.
